Biodata Photo Tips: How to Take the Perfect Photo for Marriage Biodata

· 4 min read

Families look at the photo before they read a single word. You do not need a studio – a phone and 10 minutes are enough if you follow these rules.

1. Light

Stand facing a window in daylight. Never use the flash. Avoid harsh noon sun; morning or late afternoon is softest.

2. Background

A plain wall, curtain or greenery. No clutter, no other people, no mirrors.

3. Outfit

Traditional or smart formal in solid colours. Avoid busy prints and sunglasses. Light, natural make-up.

4. Pose

Head and shoulders, camera at eye level, gentle smile, looking at the lens. Ask someone to take it rather than a selfie.

5. Technical

  • Use the rear camera, portrait mode if available.
  • Take 20 shots, pick the best one.
  • Our editor automatically resizes and fits the photo into the template’s frame shape (circle, arch, rounded).

Once you have the photo, upload it into your biodata and see it in over 100 designs instantly.
